Founded in 2006, over,under is a Boston-based multi-disciplinary studio for architecture, urban design, interiors, graphic identity, and publications. The four founding collaborators have global backgrounds, with over thirty years of collective design experience working in places as varied as Canada, Guatemala, Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar, Switzerland, and the United States. The studio’s work and the writings of its principals have appeared in Architectural Record, The Architect, The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix, Boston Home, ArchitectureBoston, and in books by Rockport, Rizzoli, and Princeton Architectural Press. The principals of over,under have taught at the California College of the Arts, Carnegie Mellon University, Harvard University, Northeastern University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
