nARCHITECTS

We achieve simple designs that produce a richness and flexibility of experience, with an economy of conceptual and material means.

nARCHITECTS, PLLC (USA/CANADA) was founded in New York City by partners Eric Bunge (b. Montreal, Canada) and Mimi Hoang (b. Saigon, Vietnam) in 1999. nARCHITECTS brings an open-ended approach to the design process based on clear diagrammatic thinking and an ability to unite a wide array of concerns into a rigorous and cohesive outcome. Complex client identities, layered sites and phasing requirements are unpacked and reframed as straightforward design opportunities. We are a technically precise team, balancing innovation where possible, with tried and tested approaches where necessary. Our approach to site is nuanced and agile - sensitive to opportunities and irreverent to cliches. We approach environmental questions through cultural as well as technical frameworks. Rather than a check list of features, integrated sustainable thinking occurs at every step. In short, we achieve simple designs that produce a richness and flexibility of experience, with an economy of conceptual and material means.
