Each project demonstrates a commitment to exploring the inherent qualities of the client, program and site to develop projects with specificity, nuance and originality.

The architectural partnership of Min | Day, established in 2000, spans offices in San Francisco, California, and Omaha, Nebraska. Capitalizing on its divergent West Coast and Midwest locations, Min | Day is founded in a recognition of the accruing complexity of the American landscape. The practice combines the principals’ mutual backgrounds in art, landscape and building design to offer an informed and flexible approach to design that serves a wide variety of clients, sites, and projects ranging from individuals to art institutions; urban to rural; and furniture to large buildings, respectively. Each project demonstrates a commitment to exploring the inherent qualities of the client, program and site to develop projects with specificity, nuance and originality. Their projects exploit the interplay between material and implied volumes, between the continuous surfaces of the landscape and the discrete forms of inhabitation and use, and between natural and applied color to shape places that can be appreciated equally for their architectural discipline as well as for their sheer pleasure.
