davidclovers was located in Los Angeles and Houston before relocating to Hong Kong in 2009. The collaboration harnesses thirty years' combined experience of partners David Erdman and Clover Lee. The practice is recognized for its unique and innovative interior and residential projects—from its in-depth focus on materials and fabrication to how people collect, interact and form spatial networks.

The collaboration with artist C.E.B. Reas for Lunar House exemplifies how davidclovers builds tight networks of collaborators—from clients and contractors to manufacturers and other designers. Other recent collaborators include clients such as Nike, Santa Monica Museum of Modern Art, and companies such as Dupont Corian.

Recognition

davidclovers has won numerous awards, including the Rome Prize, the Design Vanguard Award and the Young Architects Award. The work has been published in many international magazines, journals and major U.S. newspapers, including Icon Magazine, Esquire Japan, I.D., Kenchiku Note and A+U. A prototype of Lunar House was part of the exhibition "Matters of Sensation" at Artists Space in New York City in November 2008.
