The M01 House is a flexible single-family house for four. The floor plan, conceived as 20-foot by 20-foot cubes rotated 30 degrees, is a sequence of three volumes with the central volume housing a significant double-height space. M01 offers a modern environment and larger living within a small floor plate.
You enter M01 at a juncture between living room and kitchen/dining. To the left is the kitchen/dining wing that includes an open kitchen with an island and a separated pantry and laundry room. Large 6-foot by 6-foot Functionally, the plan creates zones within a fairly compact floor plate of 1,319 square feet, offering a family of four more living in less house. glazed windows and sliding doors offer views and access towards the exterior terrace can be enjoyed through. Straight ahead from the entry is the living room, accentuated by a centrally located double-height space, the connector between the two wings. Tucked behind the living room is the office/studio with powder room. This wing also has the option to be converted into a separated studio unit for extended family or to rent. An open stair in the living room leads up to the mezzanine where, directly above the office, is the master bedroom and bath, or the “adult wing.” Past the mezzanine on the other side are two bedrooms and a bathroom, or the “children” wing, vertically linked to the more public kitchen/dining room. The mezzanine, the connector on the second floor between the two zones, can double as a play area for children.

Functionally, the plan creates zones within a fairly compact floor plate of 1,319 square feet, offering a family of four more living in less house.
