Please understand that a Hometta membership allows you and your designated tradespeople access to view the plans and price out construction. You still need to buy the actual plans and the license to build the design and/or hire someone to build it. Building, or hiring someone to build a Hometta design, or a modified version based on our designs, without purchasing the plans and license, is theft. We don't want to be in the business of lecturing customers about copyright law. We believe our customers value great design and understand that great designers should be compensated for their creative work, otherwise we wouldn't grant such generous access prior to purchase.
All that being said, if you are the odd scofflaw who needs further convincing, please review our General Terms of Agreement, Membership Terms of Agreement, and the following copyright reminder:

All copyright notices, title information, and other proprietary legends, must remain unobscured and unaltered on all Content and reproducible media that include such Content. Any use, duplication, publication, sale or distribution of the Content, or any portions thereof, beyond the scope of the license granted herein, is a breach of this Agreement, and may also be an act of copyright infringement that is subject to statutory penalties. Copyright infringers may be required to pay actual damages caused by the infringement (which may be substantial), plus any profits made by the infringer. Federal copyright law also allows for the recovery of statutory damages, which may be as high as $150,000 for each infringement. Finally, the infringer may be required to pay legal fees, which could exceed the damages.
Stealing a design is no different than walking into a store and stealing something off the shelf. Don't do it.
